Iguaçu National Park

This park is huge, but only a tiny fraction is open to public, one of which is the Hotel das Cataratas. For those who want to see the splendor of this park with as few people around as possible, this is the only way. If you stay outside the park, you can only enter from around 09:00 and must leave by about 18:00 (guards asked for my room key, and without it I would have been transported out!). If had not stayed at this hotel, I would have missed this beautiful scenery, and so much more that followed!

The empty road lit up by the moon, and the stars – the only sounds are from the falls and the life of the jungle! I did’t see a single guest from the hotel during my night walk. I was alone.

Why do people stay at this hotel if they don’t go outside when the sun has set?
