This is Chalalan lake, the pier with the canoes and some of the staff and guests. This is the only evidence of human activity and Chalalan lodge, as there is no opening of the natural green here – for any of the buildings.
This is facing east in the diminishing light of the sun setting behind the mountain range in the west. Madidi National Park stretches all the way to the mountain range.
