Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris)

This Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) is taking her female cubs to a new resting-play place for the hot hours to come.

During the cool hours of the night the mother will hunt, and she had her kill at the previous location now exhausted.

Lucky for me the tiger prefers to utilize the roads for territory borders and thus I experienced her several times urinating up trees alongside the road.
In the forest it would be impossible to get any kind of clear view of this family – a tale, a head or parts of the body perhaps, but in the forest a clear view is very hard to come by – except by a river or lake where they come to drink during the dry season.

Elevation: 287 meters
