After my encounter with the faguar (Panthera onca) designated George just a few minutes ago, that came to an abrupt halt due to a thunderbolt that scared him off, I headed downstream and back to Porto Jofre.
Just around a bend in the river I got a glimpse of yet another Jaguar!
How interesting! 4 days with just a 3 second glimpse of a jaguar, and now 2 in quick succession! That’s how random nature is.
This one was on the move, so we had to stop and turn around and again move upstream towards where we saw George.
This is a young female designated Bianca by the people protecting and monitoring the jaguar population here, and perhaps she was heading upstream to met with George?
