Galápagos Mockingbird (Mimus parvulus)

One very peculiar Galápagos mockingbird (Mimus parvulus) that decided to defecate in the middle of the path. First I wondered if there was something wrong with it, as it got a slightly strange gait and then to a halt with wings slightly hanging.

Then something slowly started to come out – a slimy substance that seemed to hang there indefinitely. It reminded me of slug mucus, but some fruits also have a slimy substance. What did it eat to produce this situation?
