Mountain Wren (Troglodytes solstitialis)

The small birds are mostly heard and not seen, and even when seen they are only seen “in-parts”, as they are only visible in small holes in the dense undergrowth in which they live.

Photographing them is a real challenge as it’s hard to focus on the tiny body and not the vegetation. The Mountain Wren is only 11 cm long.

Altitude 2706 metres.
