January is only hours away, and the sun is barely above the horizon at 14:43 in the afternoon.
With air flowing in from Siberia the clear skies ensure intense cold conditions, making the open sea leaking heat as sea smoke. If the cold continues much longer, the sea will eventually freeze over, and perhaps this winter will be one of the few I can skate and walk on the fjord.
