Iguaçu Falls is impressive in daylight, but in a moonlit setting like this it’s simply something you’ll never forget! The Moon is high on the right, and Venus is the bright star.
The mist from the falls sometimes clogged up so much that it seemed completely cloudy, only to be completely gone a few minutes later. I was mesmerized, but also so tired. I actually fell asleep as I was sitting on the ground waiting for my camera to finish a series of exposures.
Staying at Hotel das Cataratas is the only reason I could experience this, as it’s the only hotel inside the park. Otherwise I would have had to leave long before sunset.
Also here I was utterly alone – nobody from the hotel came by – incomprehensible to me, but I guess for most the amenities of the hotel is so much better than this!!
