Paraerva microphylla looks similar to Paraerva revoluta, but stems and leaves are glabrous (without hairs), opposed to P revoluta where stems and leaves have woolly hairs or short matted hairs – see this observation. Furthermore P revoluta is normally found on granite slopes of the Hagghier mountains, this is at 389 m elevation on limestone cliff.
Paraerva microphylla is endemic to Socotra.
