What makes these dunes so special is that they are trapped by sheer cliffs and rocks, and during sunrise or early morning the colors are just spectacular.
I visited during the calm period, but when the northern monsoon whips up, the wind is so strong that everything is sand blasted, and I would not have had such a pleasant experience. But I think this time would have many beautiful photo opportunities for those willing to endure! It is after all the polar opposite of a blizzard. I don’t like blizzards!
