When found in very exposed locations, they appear whitish and different from those growing in more sheltered locations where the species stretches much more and the leaves grow bigger, with the hairs further apart, giving a greener appearance.

Native range is Somalia, Socotra, South Arabian Peninsula, Pakistan.
