Euphorbia spiralis is found throughout Socotra to elevations around 700 meters. It also has a very variable habit – from stems wide apart with many branches growing out of the stems, long and slender with few or no branches as seen here, to densely branched, and no branches growing out of the stems. The latter is the case for those growing in the drier far west of Socotra, where they do not grow as tall as this specimen.
I have yet to encounter one with the spiral growth implied by its name.
It is endemic to Socotra.
Elevation: 95 meters.
