Kalanchoe farinacea is in places very common here in the Firhmin Forest, and at this time they are all in bloom. In a small area I counted more than 20 specimens of this species.
Here you can see some of the environment it is growing in – on limestone and with Dragon blood trees (Dracaena cinnabari) and with the Haghier Mountains in the back..
It is endemic to Socotra.
