What is a beautiful melody to us is dead serious to the bird as it is perched high to announce its presence to competitors and assure its claim to the area around him.
Spring is a short but incredibly beautiful season in so many ways as that is when all species are at their most beautiful to our senses. This is the time when the myriads of flowers tantalises our sense of smell, the birds our hearing with their songs of which some species evoke powerful emotions and sometimes tears of joy.
As soon as spring is over their song will return back to that of the everyday.
