A large tree Just a few metres from the Cuiaba river in Porto Jofre housed an extended family of Bolivian Salmon Pink Tarantula (Acanthoscurria chacoana). They ranged from adults like this one, to very small juvies.
Some were just sitting inside their preferred crack and others were out in the open hunting. This was the bravest of them all, as it did not retreat back to its den during my photo session.
Amazing creatures!
