Some were tree-like in size – more than 3 metres tall and with enormous amount of flowers. These trees were hyptnotizingly beautiful to me and birds & insects alike. Altitude 2105 metres.

The boat journey to Angel Falls was interrupted only once by a long section of rapids where we had to disembark and walk for about 20 minutes on the open savanna. This flowering shrub was located along this path. Native range is Brazil.
