Found widespread around Socotra where there are shady and moist places, but I’ve seen it most commonly around the vertical cliffs of the northeastern Socotra.
It will wither without sufficient moisture and wait for the return of the winter rains to start anew.
It’s also found in Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Sudan
