22 October 2023 cyclone Tej hit Socotra. The following weeks held plenty of rainfall, providing a steady foundation for exceptional growth.
The grasses respond quickly to moisture, and when the water is in steady supply for weeks they grow to their potential. In some places, like here, they grow to tall and species rich fields.
The fact that nothing has been touched by the goats here, is a testament to the abundance of grasses available this winter.
