The Primula capitata is found in Sikkim’s temperate to alpine biomes to 5000 meters elevation.

The key character for this subspecies is the white mealy substance underneath the leaves (farinose).

Native range is Central & East Himalaya to South Tibet.

Elevation: 3691 meters.
