Rhododendron thomsonii grows to 5 meters tall and is found in Sikkim’s temperate to alpine biomes up to well above 4000 meters elevation. July is the very end of its flowering season, so I was in luck to find this flowering specimen.
Elevation: 3320 meters.
Native range is Central & East Himalaya to Southern Tibet.
