My first encounter of this orchid species, but one I encountered many times during my Sikkim journey. In some places they grow in dense populations, where you see the many purple flowers from afar. Hemipilia chusua is found in Sikkim’s temperate biome.

Elevation: 3161 meters.

Native range is Siberia to Himalaya and Myanmar.
