This location was full of bird song from the black-crowned sparrow-lark and other bird species. Most of Socotra is rather silent in regards to bird sounds. You will hear the odd bird, but here the air was filled with exited birds and signs of the beginning of breeding season. This is so typical of Socotra, as there are countless micro climates, manifesting in unique expressions of life.
Also found in eastern Sudan, somalia Arabia, southern Iraq, Iran and Pakistan.
