Green thorntail (Discosura conversii) is one of the smallest of the hummingbirds, and weighs just 3 g (0,11 oz) and is commonly seen in Ecuador.
This is a male green thorntail, and the largest of the sexes, measuring 10 cm (3.9 in) long. Its small size makes the wings sound like a large bumble bee.
