With so many caimans I should have found many nests, but only found this one, so they hide their eggs very well – at leas for a human.

It appeared it was opened by a monitor lizard, but it did not finish the job, so the damaged nest was susceptible to the rising water and waves from the boats passing by. In any case these eggs would have become submerged a week or so later.
