This lake is a few hours by trail and much faster by boat. The lake is huge compared to Chalalan lake, so you have a much wider view – of which I got a glimpse of as the clouds cleared.
Unfortunately the lodge here is no longer in business, and its future uncertain as far a tourism is concerned. A pitym as this is a fantastic place, and should be used for visitors.
The Tuichi river has a sharp bend here (Check the map below), and recently it gobbled up a huge portion of the land here, so one of the houses is only a couple of metres away from the abyss. I believe that Tuichi sometime in the future will have taken much more land, and eventually reach the lake if the bedrock holding the lake does not have any ridged against the Tuichi.
