I only found a handful of palicourea concinna in bloom. I assume it’s endemic. The leaves remind me of the European Cowberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea). Native range is the Guyana Shield. Thanks for your classification. However, I have not found a single photo on internet with a specimen that remotely resembles this plant.
When I consult the “Flora of the Venezuelan Guayana”, the description on page 773, volume 8, does state the purple corolla and the the habitual altitude: 2000-2500 m.
It appears all the photos on internet for this plant are in error, and that with your help I have at least one correct classification with image 🙂
