Roraima in the clouds

It takes several days to walk to Roraima in the scorching sun on the highland named Gran Sabana. The last day a steep and hard climb to the top of the mountain, through numerous waterfalls and showers finally is rewarded with a landscape like no other.

Roraima in the clouds

The mountain is often completely covered in fog, or rather clouds, which makes it hard to see and very cold. This day showers were mixed with sunny spells which made the landscape even more amazing, as you could see how the strong updrafts are in the fast-moving clouds that were flowing like rivers up the sheer cliffs and then broke up in turbulence as they reached the plateau.
