I am an observer of the natural world. A world that is threatened more than ever due to the actions of one species. Us!

Species are lost at a speed never before seen, except during the aftermath of an earth-shattering asteroid impact. The vast majority of humanity has no clue as to what has been lost or is on the brink.

My small contribution is photographic evidence of rare species, known to academia but alas, so inaccessible to the masses. In particular plant species. With my photos a search online will give you the pictures of a species, not just a scientific name and taxonomy details. Thus the people of the world can judge, not by the long scientific descriptions, but from an image, what is rare and nearing extinction.

It is only when you can see with your own eyes what is about to become forever lost, that you feel the urgency to protect. We are a visual species, so a photo is much more powerful to us than endless descriptions.

My observation are also found on iNaturalist, where the taxonomy, science and conservation status is automatically updated.
