Echidnopsis socotrana is the most common of the 5 Echidnopsis species found on Socotra, at least the one that when found is growing in very decent numbers. The Dixam plateau is likely the largest concentration on Socotra, but is still not straightforward to find as it grows in cracks and holes in the limestone, and is eaten by the goats when they can reach them.
Elevation: 733 meters.
It is endemic to Socotra.
