Although Croton socotranus is widely variable, and Croton sulcifructus also is variable, it has larger leaves and longer petiole (leaf stalk) than Croton socotranus, but smaller leaves than the large leaves of Croton sarcocarpus. The flowers are also arranged in racemes, congested as is the case here, or elongated.
