A very healthy specimen of polycarpaea paulayana. It is growing near the Hoq cave of the northeastern coast of Socotra, and has very little sunlight, but plenty of water so it is unclear if it would have a different habit and appearance if under the open sky.

Elevation: 400 meters.

Endemic.
