With the same color combination as the thick-billed euphonia (Euphonia laniirostris), the orange-bellied euphonia (Euphonia xanthogaster) might be difficult to separate on the fly, but as the name implies the difference is the shape of the bill. The orange-bellied euphonia is more towards the orange than yellow, and their vocalizations are also different.
As with the thick-billed euphonia it is a common visitor to feeding stations offering various types of fruit.
