Kori bustard (Ardeotis kori) is an amazing bird, one of the largest flying bird species on the planet. Yet you rarely see it fly, but when you do it’s very clear how large this species is.
The species is near threatened, so doing better than its Eurasian cousin the great bustard (Otis tarda), which is vulnerable. Hopefully it will continue to thrive here in Etosha National Park.
There is no decent sound recording of this species.
