Ospeskrubb | Aspen boletes (Leccinum aurantiacum/albostipitatum)

The forest is full of amazing fungi now, and I am having a blast looking for the best specimens of each species. But when I finally find one and set up my camera I am also overwhelmed by the ever hungry mosquitos! They come from all sides, and I find it hard to sit still during my intimate photo sessions as I get bitten in the most annoying places!

Strangely this individual found it most interesting to just sit down in plain sight on the hat of this beautiful mushroom, and what a great model it was as it was still long enough for me to capture it and providing a great reference to the scale of the mushroom.

Elevation: 39 meters
