Dochula Pass, Bhutan

The sunrise is almost over, and I was having a hard time deciding which direction to point the camera. Focus on the sunrise in the east above the stupas, and capture the moment the entire disc has climbed above the horizon, or focus on the north-west where the amazing hues of the sunrise colors the snow-capped peaks?

It appeared I could not wait for the entire disc of the sun to rise above the mountains, thus this was the highest point of the sun I captured, as very soon after its rise the soft and warm hues quickly transform to harsher and cooler colors.

It is rare to have such a wide angle of stunning beauty in from of you and the next and final capture from this amazing dawn will be a panorama showing you how amazing this location is, especially during this precious time of dawn.
