A very different experience when all colors are removed.
Once upon a time Seychelles was part of the Gondwana supercontinent but now the granite islands are resting on the isolated North Seychelles Bank. All around is an abyss thousands of meters deep. Indeed Seychelles is an island domain above as well as below the ocean surface.
The granite boulders look smooth and inviting from afar, but are abrasive and sharp to your feet, and far from the silky smooth surfaces of the Scandinavian granite that aeons of abrasive ice sheets have made as smooth as any jeweller or sculptor can make the hardest of materials.
This amazing monolith could stand like this for many generations still, but will eventually give way to the never ending forces of the sun, sea, wind and rain.
