With just two days on the highest parts of Socotra’s Haghier mountains – Skand – I did not have much time to photograph insects in addition to the flora. But this bee entered during a photo session with this Trichodesma microcalyx. Talk about luck, as his is a very rare treat – a Socotra zoned-furrow bee (Patellapis flavovittata)!
Both are endemic which means they exist only on Socotra.
