My first thought when I saw commelina forskalaei was that how did it come all the way here from South America.
In Pantanal I found lots of Commelina erecta, but this is a regional species, and I found this one on the steep cliffs on the way to the Shuab beach of west Socotra.
These slopes are are treasure trove for someone like me, and I had a fantastic time here.
Native range is Africa, Arabian Peninsula, India.
