My first, brief encounter with this species in Pantanal. It took off right after this shot, so I was unable to get a shot in the clear at this location, which was really beautiful. Unfortunately I was also unable to photograph the beautiful plumage seen in flight, but I did see it and it’s hard not to say “wow”!
