This orsilochus daggerwing (Marpesia orsilochus) was seemingly quite territorial, as I found it either on the ground or on the vegetation in the same area every day – just where the lower path to the new rooms at Cristalino Jungle Lodge begin.
During my stay I found several butterfly hotspots around the buildings, but there were few places I did not encounter a butterfly. This daggerwing was more or less the only butterfly at this particular spot.
