A common bird in Pantanal, and several resides close to the buildings of Pousada Xaraés. This is a pair with chicks that perhaps the very same day had left their nest, and thus they were trying to divert me from the chicks on the ground.
They were unable to fly, so they had left the nest prematurely – perhaps a predator got too close.
