In Pantanal some groups of capybaras are almost tame, and this one was no exception, as it seemingly regarded my passing as the river itself.
This is not the case when a jaguar is nearby, as this is the favourite prey.
In Bolivia they were much more wary of humans, as they are commonly hunted by humans there.
