My first night on the Sabana at Kamoiran lodge was a fantastic surprise in butterfly diversity. The walls were crowded with various nocturnal Lepidopteras and insects drawn in by the artificial light. Some with shapes and colors that truly amazed me. I have not yet been able to classify them, so just numeric by observation for now.
This is one of the most furry I’ve ever seen, and it’s not that cold in the night, so why all the hairs?
Please help me classify it – leave a comment 🙂
