These wonderful and uncommon parrots just flew into the garden of the Amazon Research and Conservation Center (ARCC) and started eating from the fruits of this palm tree.

They didn’t stay long, and did not show their front side, so this is all I got.

This is what’s so great with ARCC – the garden is in fact only local plant species, and most of the trees are intact, so the passing birds regard the less dense forest around the buildings as natural and when they find a fruiting tree they will land – just like these parrots did. Thus, you can basically be in this garden all day long and wait for birds and other animals to come to you. So keep you camera ready at all times!
