The plateau is at around 2400 metres altitude and is very wet, soggy and bog-like, as you can see from this picture there is lot’s of water during the rainy season, and also quite moist in the dry season due to all the moss and vegetation that act like a sponge.

During my two days up here this is the most I ever saw of the peaks. For most it might have been a disappointment, but for me clouds and rain made the vista much more dramatic. In addition I was alone in the park, as this is way off-season!
